Casa De Gruene!

Mediocre Positive: Beautiful home, parking available right behind the cabin, amenities were good. Negative: The property was clean in a basic sense, but several important details were disappointing. The upstairs toilet seat was dirty, and there were hair strands in the upstairs bathtub. The fan in the upper bedroom was extremely slow even on the highest setting. A hanger was left on a chair, and more concerning, a corkscrew was found behind a couch cushion, which posed a safety risk for our baby. The lower-floor second bedroom had a strong foul smell from a wet rug. We had to roll it up and set it aside in order to sleep there. We were instructed to keep the thermostat at 75°F, yet it was set to 60°F on arrival. Even after adjusting it, the temperature did not reach a comfortable level for several hours. Communication was inconsistent. We were told a form needed to be filled out, but despite multiple messages, we received no response for that. Questions about a car charger also went unanswered. With the cleaning fee nearly three-quarters of the room price — along with a 5 hour gap between check out and next check in, several house rules and checkout tasks like starting the laundry load, keeping dishes in the dishwasher, taking out trash, these issues were disappointing and do not feel justified. We did not message the host about the issues during our stay as they did respond properly to our previous messages.

The perfect Texan retreat. Positive: Love the location, build, and decor of the home. It was perfectly located, and very peaceful. Negative: Everything was great.

Great location and property will be a great spot when the whole community is completed. Otherwise central to Gruene, Whitewater, and the Lake
